  • I feature a wide variety of locally roasted beans in my classes. I am a firm believer that it’s important to experience a lot of different coffees to have a fuller perspective on the industry as a whole. Some of my favorites are Figure 8, Superthing, Sightseer, Greater Goods, Proud Mary, and Desnudo.

  • Yes! We’ll use whole milk and oat milk for the class. If you have another milk you prefer, you may bring it to class.

  • Rising Tide is fully wheelchair accessible with accessible parking and entryway. The bathrooms are equipped with ramps and grab bars to support different mobility needs. There’s low-to-the-ground seating options available, and all of the chairs have backs for support.

    I am happy to provide class materials in large print formats. Since these classes focus heavily on sensory experiences like smell and taste, this may present challenges for some participants. Please reach out so we can discuss how we might adapt the experience for your needs! Always open to creating solutions.

    If you're deaf or hard of hearing, I am open to hiring ASL interpreters for your class. Please contact me in advance so I can arrange this for you. If you have other communication needs, reach out before your class so we can prepare accordingly.

  • I charge a $20 travel fee for any classes outside a 10-mile radius of Austin.

    I typically do not travel further than 30 miles outside of Austin for classes. That being said, if you are a business owner in another city and are interested in training and consulting, I will sometimes travel further for certain projects. Best thing you can do is call me at (443) 253-9049.

  • Oooh, I hate this question! I have certain places I love for different reasons. On my days off, you might find me at Figure 8, Terrible Love, Mercado Sin Nombre, Lone Man, Fleet, Violet Crown, or Lau Lau.
